Up on heels!

Tacones.

High heels. I wish I could walk always on them. However, nobody has invented a 100% comfortable stiletto yet. So in the meantime, you better suffer to primp. Other time you may read (or you have already done it) a post by me where I put comfort ahead of everything else; it’s just because I really love sneakers in almost all their versions and soldier boots are a must in closet. But today is the day of high heels and here you have my defense.

For us little fellas they are our best allies.

You walk on stronger with them and that means more self-confidence. Look into the world some more centimeters from the top gives us that strength. We walk on with more clearness, though it’s to maintain the balance better in certain way. “Because I’m worth it”.

High heels fit in almost any outfit. That’s for sure that the skirt or the jeans you are wearing will change their appearance immediately.

When we are kids we always want to get on the highest ones and we end robbing mommy’s, auntie’s, grandma’s closet… For me it was not enough with my flamenco polka-dotted shoes, but I took over my mum’s and stepped outside just like that, on my Sunday best, courtesy of Elda. I was already showing promise.

That being said, there is no place for half-baked ideas, so we forget about light high heels, kitten heels and other fake-lifts which do not reach the 8 centimeters, because those are not high heels. I’m sorry for Audrey Hepburn, who made them popular, but the Hollywood star had other many wise choices. Stilettos head-start to kitten heels in everything and talking about age, they beat the small ones excessively. History says that Catherine de’ Medici wore high heels on her wedding with Henry II of France. Since then, year 1547, stiletto started to gain devotees and become into the king of women footwear, though men were the first ones in using putting on high heels.
From now on you can name me defense attorney of stilettos. Ah, more reasons are really welcome to add to this list!
