Ging, ging, ging... gingham from New York Fashion Week...

...Stuart Vevers' revolution at Coach and many other fantastic things from the runway that you must start to keep reading right below.

Every new edition of the New York runway I repeat to myself that they have just improved themselves once again. And this one showing the trends for spring-summer 2015 has not been less. As always we were able to see the classic ones, the revolutionary ones, the smart ones and  the impeccable ones...

Gingham will be strong next spring. Those checks from a lifelong Italian restaurant table cloth or, to be more posh, those gingham that Brigitte Bardot used to wear during her summers at the French Riviera. Óscar de la Renta, Diane Von Furstenberg, Michael Kors or Altuzarra are some of the labels which have chosen this so classic print for their collections.

Stuart Vevers and his spring-summer 2015 collection for Coach are going to mark a milestone in the history of this fabulous New York-based handbag label. He has just left behind all that we knew from Coach and our mums are going to find it hard to assimilate. I believe that Vever's fresh start (he is a genie re-launching sleeping dinosaurs -let's remember his years at Loewe-) is the best thing that could have happened to Coach. The collection has a very clear public: young people. Very mini-skirts, tops with a cartoon like printed animal on the front. Colors remind us any summer in California and everybody, not only the young ones,  will die for the colorful clogs.

At New York Fashion Week other stream has kept going with the normcore or simplicity or minimalism or whatever name you want to give. This list gets large, but we have to thank to all this brands and designers who stand for a style which makes us things easier every day. Hellessy, Creatures of Comfort, Chadwick Bell, Wes Gordon, Rachel Comey, Tibi (I really loved the whole collection) or Theory are my choice.

And then we have New York's musts. Del Pozo has shown here a few seasons yet, but the clean cuts in each piece and Josep Font's brilliance for dealing with every detail make me get hair on end. That's how he has gained to be on the list of the must of New York Fashion Week. Keeping the same level of excellence we fin the Olsen twins with gel label the Row. Sport chic is still in Alexander Wang's hands, no doubt. Elegance is found at Narciso Rodriguez's. We have to express our gratitude to Victoria Beckham and that she keeps loosening waists, her collections are more and more relax but without missing elegance and that she has got to leave the stilettos behind. And last, who still gets to break with rules in every look is Marc Jacobs either at his homonymous label either at MBMJ.

As always, I've missed some on the way, but you still can have a look at my board in Pinterest. London and Milan are calling and I'm late.
