Pool sandals...

...or slides or shower slippers are in!

Son otra de las expresiones del normcore (lo siento por abusar del término, pero se ha apoderado de mí). Sí, las chanclas de toda la vida. Las Adidas de franjas blancas (Andrea, isto vai por ti e que saibas que fuches unha precursora pero que non che fixemos caso porque só tiñas sete anos) aparecieron de refilón en la película La Red Social. Y a partir de ahí las vimos a cuentagotas hasta que de repente todas las marcas las han adaptado y ahora todos queremos salir a la calle con sandalias de andar por casa. Estos tres años estuvieron llenos de momentos de publicidad subliminal hasta que al final ya no hay nada que esconder porque ya es una realidad abierta.

En este lado del mundo, eso de las chanclas de piscina les encanta, tanto que las combinan con pijamas de estampados difíciles para salir a dar el paseo de después de cenar. Pero esto da para otra historia que algún día os contaré. Sigo en este lado del mundo y os aseguro que en los cuatro días que pasé en Seúl vi más Adilette por metro cuadrado (con permiso de las Gazelle) que puestos de noodles.

A estas alturas y después de haber caído rendida a las hebillas de las Birkenstock por partida doble, todavía no sé si el estilo piscinero se apoderará de mi persona. Nunca digas de este agua no beberé (¡qué poco me gustan los refranes!). Pero si encuentro las chanclas de mi talla...quién sabe. Todo sea por continuar esta oda a la comodidad (¡ahí va, no he dicho normcore!).

They are other of the expressions of normcore (sorry for abusing the word, but it has taken me over). Yes, the forever slides. The white stripes Adidas' (Andrea, this is for you and you must know that you were a precursor, but we didn't pay attention to you because you were only seven years old) shew up at a glance on the movie The Social Network. Starting at this point we saw them in dribs and drabs until suddenly all brands have adapted them and now we all want to put homewear sandals. These three years were full of subliminal adverstising moments until in the end there is nothing to hide because it's an open reality.

At this side of the world, everybody loves the pool sandals, so much that they pair them with difficult-printed pj's for their daily walk after dinner. But this is other story which I'll tell you some day. I'm still at this sdie of the world and I can assure you that during the four days I spent in Seoul I saw more Adilette per square meter (if Gazelle excuse me) than noodles stalls.

At this point and after being surrendered to the buckles of Birkenstocks twice, I don't know yet if the pool style will take my persona over. Never say never (I don't like proverbs at all!). But if I happen to find a pair of my size... who knows. Everything for keep going with this ode to comfort (there it goes, I haven't said normcore!)
