Ya todos conocemos el gusto de Karl Lagerfeld por armar escenarios espectaculares para sus desfiles de Chanel. El de primavera-verano 2013 no ha sido menos. Parece que el Kaiser ha querido tener presente la fuerza de la naturaleza y su energía e instaló en el Grand Palais un parque energético lleno de molinos y placas solares. Ante la sencillez, el suave romanticismo y el aire años 60 de la colección, los gigantes blancos se imponían de manera casi monstruosa. Por momentos parecía el retorno de Don Quijote escapando de los molinos-gigantes. ¿Y qué me decís de esos sombreros de enormes dimensiones que algunas modelos llevaban en la mano? ¿No os recordaban al sombrero del Ingenioso Hidalgo? ¿Y el bolso gigante? Está claro que las interpretaciones son muy variadas. Por lo demás, esta colección de Chanel ha destacado por su hermosura y delicadeza. La silueta en A, las minifaldas, las perlas, las flores y hasta el tejido chambray le dan un carácter mucho más joven que en anteriores colecciones. Gracias, Karl.
We all know Karl Lagerfeld's liking for installing spectacular stages for his Chanel fashion shows. Spring-summer 2013 show has not been the exception. It seems that the Kaiser has wanted to express the importance of nature force and energy and he installed a renewable energy farm full of windmills and solar cells. Before the simplicity, the soft romanticism and the sixties air of this collection, the white giants dominated in a nearly monstrous way. It seemed Don Quixote return escaping from the windmills-giants by the minute. And what about the huge-dimensioned hats some models had in their hands? Don not they remind you the Ingenious Gentleman's hat? And the giant quilted handbag? The variety of interpretations is an obviousness. Apart from that, this Chanel collection has stood out because of its beauty and delicacy. A-shape silhouette, mini-skirts, pearls, flowers and even the chambray give a much younger nature than in previous collections. Thank you, Karl.
