El punto no nos va a abandonar aunque el mercurio suba. Esta temporada el punto toma protagonismo a base de técnicas como la red o el punto abierto, lo cual le da una ligereza mayor a este tipo de prendas. El estilo que queramos darle al look ya está más en nuestras manos. Podemos optar por una versión más rockera o embarcarnos en una aventura safari o con una tribu navaja. Pero la tendencia más extendida es la que se envuelve de una actitud totalmente relajada que nos lleva de cabeza al verano. Las opciones son muy diversas y para todos los bolsillos.

Knitwear stays with us though temperatures start to raise. This season knitwear takes prominence based on techniques as mesh or open stitch which give filmsiness to this kind of pieces. The style we want to give to every look is in our hands. We can choose a rock version or embark on a safari venture or with a navajo tribe. However, the most widespread trend is that one eveloped in a completely relaxed attitude that drives us directly to summer. There are several options and good value.

Weekly look: SXSW in Austin

La temporada de festivales de música acaba de comenzar. El pasado fin de semana terminaba South by Southwest (SXSW), la primera cita internacional "veraniega" con la música a la que le seguirá Coachella Valley (Glastonbury descansa hasta 2013). En un encuentro de este calibre se reúnen estilos que van desde lo más ecléctico a lo más convencional pasando por el siempre infalible vintage. Por supuesto, quien no se perdió la fiesta fue Alexa Chung, la street-styler por excelencia.

Visité Austin hace once años. La ciudad ya reunía entonces ese espíritu más clásico del Mid-West y las corrientes más modernas de la música. Ah, y por supuesto no me perdí uno de los conciertos en uno de los innumerables bares de la capital tejana.

Music festivals season has just kicked off. Last weekend it took end South by Southwest (SXSW), the first summer international date with music, which will be followed by Coachella Valley (Glastonbury will go back in 2013). At an event like this, different styles gather from the most eclectic ones to the most conventional ones, with the infallible vintage style in between. Of course, guess who didn't want to miss the party. She's Alexa Chung, the street-styler par excellence.
I visited Austin eleven years ago. In that moment, the town already gathered the most classic spirit from Mid-West and the most modern music trends. Ah!, and of course I didn't miss one of the concerts in one of the countless bars in the Texan capital.

There is something at this Carven dress that has being stucked in my mind for a week. Shape, volume and brightness become this piece into candidate to get in the wishlist.

La modelo inglesa Agyness Deyn lleva varias campañas colaborando con la clásica firma Dr. Martens. Acaba de dar una paso más y el próximo otoño presentará su propia colección de ropa y calzado para la casa británica. Mientras esperamos al estreno, aquí os dejo una campaña súper divertida de Dr. Martens, 'First and Forever', sobre nuestras primeras botas en la que Agyness Deyn habla de "su primer amor". The Little Black Jacket by Chanel

La chaqueta Chanel, ese elemento que ya lleva tantos años en los armarios femeninos, salió del masculino de la mano de Coco Chanel y su objetivo de diseñar prendas más cómodas para la mujer. La chaqueta de tweed se ha convertido en una pieza atemporal a la que Karl Lagerfeld ha querido rendir tributo junto a Carine Roitfeld y una serie de personajes famosos como Vanessa Paradis, Alice Dellal o Sarah Jessica Parker.
Una serie de fotografías reunidas en un libro muestran la versatilidad de la "pequeña chaqueta negra" que se podrá ver en una exposición del 24 de marzo al 15 de abril en Tokio. La publicación llegará a las librerías el próximo otoño.

The Chanel jacket, that element that it's been in women closets for so many years, came out of men wardrobe thanks to Coco Chanel and her aim of designing more comfortable clothes for women. The tweed jacket has become into a timeless piece. And Karl Lagerfeld has wanted to pay tribute together with Carine Roitfeld and a series of celebrities as Vanessa Paradis, Alice Dellal or Sarah Jessica Parker.
A series of photographies gathered in a book show the versatility of the "little black jacket" that will be performed in an exhibition at Tokyo from March 24th to April 15. The book will arrive at books tores next fall.

Conscious Glamour by H&M

H&M continúa con sus colecciones sostenibles. Ahora es el turno de los vestidos para ocasiones especiales, a lo celebrity. Los looks "de alfombra roja" están hechos a base de materiales más favorables para el medio ambiente como algodón orgánico, cáñamo y poliéster reciclado. La colección Exclusive Conscious estará a la venta en unas 100 tiendas H&M seleccionadas a partir de mediados de abril.

H&M keeps going with its sustainable collections. Now it's time for special ocasions dress, in a celebrity mood. The "red carpet" looks are made of environmentally friendly materials as organic cotton, hemp and recycled polyester. Exclusive Conscious collection will be at around 100 H&M selected stores around the middle of April.
